About Me

I will move to a new position in Jan 2021, as the director of Foxconn Quantum Computing Center, Taiwan. 

I'm an Associate Professor at the Centre for Quantum Software and Information (QSI) at University of Technology Sydney (UTS). I received an Australian Research Council (ARC) Future Fellowship from 2014-2018.

Program leaders at the Hon Hai (Foxconn) Quantum Computing Research Center, Taipei, Taiwan

The Hon Hai Quantum Computing Research Center is searching for qualified program leaders in the field of quantum information and computation. This includes, but not limited to, topics such as quantum complexity theory, quantum algorithms, quantum communication, and quantum systems and applications. The topical cooperation with local universities is strongly encouraged. We are looking for young upstart scientists with concrete ideas to establish her/his own independent research group. This position will accompany postdoc fellowship grants and access to research assistants from local universities.

The candidate should have a PhD in Physics, Computer Science or related fields and an established internationally recognised scientific profile in area of quantum computation. Further development of the existing research activities into the area of quantum communication, quantum simulation and processing of quantum information is expected.

Postdoc positions at the Hon Hai (foxconn) Quantum Computing Research Center, Taipei, Taiwan 

Applications are invited for postdoctoral positions at the newly-established Hon Hai Quantum Computing Research Center, led by Dr Min-Hsiu Hsieh.  We are looking for candidates with an interest in one or more of these topics:

- Quantum information theory

- Quantum algorithms 

- Quantum complexity

- Quantum machine learning

- Quantum error correction

- Quantum cryptography/Post quantum cryptography

 

The appointment will be for 2 years with the possibility of one-year extension. The starting date is flexible, anytime after January 04, 2021. Gross annual salary will be in the range of 55-60K USD. Candidates are encouraged to interact with local groups in National Taiwan University, Academia Sinica, National Tsing Hua University, National  Chiao-Tung University, and National Cheng-Kung University.
